Staff Bios
Chris Owens [senior pastor]
Chris was born and raised in Cullman. He graduated from Cullman High in '95, Wallace State in '97, and the University of North Alabama in '99. After graduation he moved to Indianapolis to work as a consultant. He soon met and married Dawn Harvitz and the two of them lived in Southwest Ohio.
While in Ohio, Chris served as a worship leader and producer. He also attended Cincinnati Bible Seminary where he received training in pastoral leadership.
Chris and Dawn moved back to Cullman in 2010 to start Catalyst.

"It's exciting to be back in Alabama and being part of life change in the Cullman community. Catalyst has been in the works a long time and we're adamant about being a place you would want to bring your friends. God is doing some great stuff here and we're ready to get our hands dirty. We don't want to be just another church. We want to be an authentic community that pursues God, loves people and serves others."
